Step 3: Transport

Easily check the progress of your shipment

In this step you find the progress of the voyage. As soon as your supplier (jargon: Shipper) has delivered the goods in the port of loading to the The Freight Hero agent, they hand over the Bill of Lading details, after which the agent draws up the Copy Bill of Lading (jargon: Draft B/L). As soon as the freight information of your supplier has been received, Step 2 Supplier is automatically completed (it is green and ticked in the booking module) and in Step 3 Transport you find the Copy Bill of Lading. This Copy B/L is sent to you by The Freight Hero by e-mail, but you can of course at the same time find it in your customer environment under the progress of the voyage.

Arrival and delivery date visible

You receive an update by e-mail as soon as the cargo is on board and the boat has departed. You then see that Step 2: Transport is completed (it is then green and ticked). You see at the same time on screen that the status "The cargo is on board" and "The container ship has departed" are automatically updated by means of a tick. You also see the arrival and delivery date of the shipment in the overview. These can change during the voyage. You receive, if applicable, updates by e-mail.

E-mail service: Inform supplier

Now that the voyage has started, it will, depending on the voyage concerned, take a number of weeks before the ship arrives in the destination port. Before that, The Freight Hero will take care of the customs declaration for you. You find the progress of this in Step 4: Customs.
